Dr. Blake left the field of consulting pharmacy in 2000 to join her husband’s thriving insurance agency, Bob Blake & Associates, Inc. which was established in 1992. BBA Inc. is one of the leading provider of voluntary employee benefits in cities and school districts of Los Angeles County via worksite marketing. From 2000 to 2005, annualized sales at BBA Inc. doubled from 20 million to over 40 million.

During this five year period (2003), Dr. Blake launched a third party billing business, M.B. Ellison, Inc., which channels insurance premiums from employee’s paychecks to insurance carriers. She developed a proprietary software product which tracks and reconciles billing and membership services for insurance carriers and employee associations. M.B. Ellison, Inc. currently handles over 20 million dollars a year of insurance premium and employee association dues. This unique market niche of M.B. Ellison, Inc. eliminates one of the most time consuming jobs for insurance carriers, employee associations, as well as non-profit and for profit organizations.

Now M.B. Ellison, Inc is a full service Insurance and Financial Services firm specializing in third party administration, benefits communication, and supplemental insurance products for public sector and private non-profit businesses.

Dr. Blake earned her doctorate degree from the University of Southern California and is currently affiliated with the following organizations:
